About

Marie McKoy is a pen name for a busy mom with dreams of becoming a published author. Between shuttling her kids to dance class and baseball practice, Marie wrote her debut novel SONG OF A SOPHOMORE, the quest of a misfit 90s teen to find first love and self-acceptance, with the help of a killer playlist… a.k.a. mixtape.

In a previous life, Marie was an award-winning television news reporter. She transitioned into public relations and social media marketing for nonprofit organizations. Marie has a bachelors degree in Communication Studies and Journalism (and she may have minored in dancing at parties).

On any given evening, you can find her laying on the floor playing My Little Ponies, snuggling on the couch with her dog and a good book, knitting, doing yoga, and dancing like no one’s watching. Oh, and doing laundry… So. Much. Laundry.
